In early 1995, the explosive growth of the Internet brought about great excitement at Gran-Net as well as the possibility for new service offerings. With its owners' backgrounds in Hardware/Software and creative arts already in place, adding Web Site Services to their offerings was seen as a logical step of evolution. By August of 1995, the first Gran-Net web sites were being launched and hosted in house. Early on, web design skills were sharpened by creating and hosting sites free of charge for non-profit institutions, including the original Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Massachusetts and New Hampshire Special Olympics, and Audubon Society of New Hampshire web sites.
